Watch "Introducing My Crazy"
Meet the Cast & Crew
Bob Bailey (Anxiety)
Bob Bailey has been engaged in community theatre, mainly as an actor, for almost 20 years. Favourite roles include the Bishop in Les Miserables, Miles Gloriosus in Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Elwood in Harvey, and Felix in The Odd Couple.
He recently directed the Northumberland Players production of The Sunshine Boys, and wrote and is directing and acting in another show in the Shorts Festival, Mr. Darcy & Mr. Bennet Meet for a Whiskey. He’s somewhat anxious about being Anxiety in Introducing My Crazy, but enjoying it!
Kate Shuker (You)
Kate has been a member of the Northumberland Players since the fall of 2018 when she returned to her love of acting in Miracle on 34th Street after a decade long hiatus from the stage. She has since performed in The Drowning Girls at the Firehall Theatre as well as Stage Kiss at the Best Western.
When not performing, Kate is an elementary school secretary who lives in Port Hope with her partner Matt, her handsome sons and crazy dogs.
Kelly Paron (Hope)
Kelly is thrilled to be cast in the NP Summer Shorts Festival. A long time lover of theatre and former theatre mom, she is excited to take the virtual stage in four summer shorts. Having previously performed in musicals, she looks forward to stepping out of her comfort zone to bring Hope to life in Introducing my Crazy.
She would like to thank Marlo for giving her this opportunity to play Hope as well as her husband and two sons for their encouragement and never ending support!
Marlo K. Shaw (Writer/Director)
Marlo (She/Her) is a writer and performer who lives in Toronto. Her participation in the theatre community has blossomed this summer thanks to the magic of Zoom. Her plays have been selected to be a part of several online play festivals and she performs regularly in the Alumnae Theatre Company’s (Toronto) Cyber Reads.
Marlo also enjoys voice acting and had the pleasure of being in an episode of the audio series, The Program, as well as an audio book, forthcoming later this year. She has read her work at the Emerging Writers Series, Bedpost Sex and Sexuality Show, Spoken Lives, and at VoicED: an Event for Eating Disorders Awareness Week. She also has a piece in the anthology, Through Not Around: Stories of Infertility and Pregnancy Loss, published in 2019 by Dundurn Press.
Marlo is delighted to be participating in the Northumberland Players Shorts Festival and thanks her family, Paul, Coltrane, Auggie, Hannah and Izzy, for their support.
