Citing that “the work that [he] did during [his] time with the Northumberland Players is exemplary,” the Eastern Ontario Drama League has awarded Oliver Graf the Patricia Beharriell CM Student Scholarship.
This scholarship is awarded to a high school graduate who is already attending a college, university, or any dramatic arts and sciences institute to further his/her education in Live Theatre, Film, TV, or Internet.
Oliver was a Mentor in the Northumberland Players’ Summer Day Camp program for three consecutive summers, assisting with leading group activities with the children, and teaching and supervising children with sound and lighting design and operation.
In addition, he has provided sound and lighting operation for productions at the Firehall Theatre and at our Best Western Dinner Theatre productions, and did some foley work for our recent production of Miracle on 34th Street (2018).
Oliver is looking forward to a career in Film and Television Production, with a special interest in film and sound editing, as well as visual effects. To this end, he has enrolled in a four-year Honours Bachelor Degree program in Film and Television Production at Sheridan College. He also plans on staying involved in community theatre wherever he finds himself.
Congratulations Oliver!
