Musical Review Committee

History:

The 2020 production of “CHICAGO”

In 2018 the Northumberland Players Board developed a committee to review possibilities for musical productions. This is a small group of members/volunteers to discuss strengths/challenges for various titles. The committee’s discussion is captured in a report that is shared with the NP Board of Directors.

Re-Invention:

This year rather than meet to compare a group of shows at once, we want to have a rich discussion of one show at a time, lasting 30-60 minutes. We will begin next week, reviewing a show each week for the next four Mondays using Zoom:

  • May 4–7:00 pm. Show #1
  • May 11–7:00 pm. Show #2
  • May 18–7:00 pm. Show #3
  • June 1–7:00 pm. Show #4

Committee Members will be emailed a show title and Zoom link prior to the meeting. Jessica Outram will facilitate the discussion using a structured protocol.

Who Can Join:

The Musical Review Committee will be made up of a diverse group including people who are part of the musical onstage or behind the scenes.

To be considered you need to have at least three years involvement in musicals with Northumberland Players. We are looking for a small, diverse group so in your email also include a brief description of the nature of your experience (For example: Director, producer, backstage, stage manager, actor, musical director, musician, choreographer, costume designer, etc.)

If you would like to join this dynamic group, please email Jessica Outram at jesslowrites@gmail.com
