Music Director and Conductor: Douglas Knight
Director: Jack Boyagian
Choreographer: Holly LaFlamme Warner
Producer: Terri Bicknell-Potts

Show dates: February 19-28, 2027, 10 shows at The Cameco Capitol Arts Centre, Port Hope.

Tech week will be February 16-18, 2026.

We hope to rehearse two or three times in late November and resume in January at the Firehall Theatre, Cobourg. We are looking at Monday or Tuesday evenings in late November and some on Sundays to work with the cast in January.

Musicians interested in playing in our pit orchestra are asked to get in touch via email telling us a little about yourself and your musical experience. If you have an mp3/mp4 of your playing to send as well, that would be great. In case you are unfamiliar with “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”, the music is jazzy, rhythmic, and a lot of fun to play! Our shows are enjoyable and very popular. Meet some new people and share your talents with our community.

Please send an email expressing your interest in playing to: Our Producer Terri Bicknell-Potts with “for the Music Director” in the subject line.

About our Music Director/Conductor Douglas Knight

Douglas joins our production team waving his baton in the pit as Music Director/Conductor of “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”. He received his degree in piano performance from McGill, and later furthered his orchestra conducting studies with Gustav Meier (Tanglewood) and Paul Nadler (Metropolitan Opera). Douglas became a familiar figure in the music scene in Montreal, his home town, conducting musicals, operettas, choral ensembles, chamber orchestras and bands.

Douglas and his wife, Susan, moved to Cobourg a year ago and he says he is “very honoured to join us in this production” and that he’s “very excited to be working with so many talented people”.
