Auditions: “The Melville Boys”

The Melville Boys, a favourite among Norm Foster’s classics, is the Northumberland Players’ second dinner theatre of the 2023/24 Season.

The show runs January 19 to February 4, 2024 at the Best Western Plus Cobourg Inn and Convention Centre, directed by Jack Boyagian and produced by Catherine Holland.

Once the cast is selected, an early read through will take place. Rehearsals will begin October 17 and will be every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7 to 10 pm.

Synopsis:

A relaxing cottage weekend of fishing, football and beer is on the agenda for the Melville brothers until a secret threatens to tear them apart.  As well, weekend plans are suddenly thrown for a loop when the boys meet two attractive sisters, who inadvertently change more than just their agenda. This modern Canadian classic about brotherhood and the unexpected is a vigorous comedy full of laughs and tender moments.
